Harman Corporation is excited about its new membership with The Society of the Plastics Industry, Inc. (SPI). SPI is the trade association representing one of the largest manufacturing industries in the United States. SPI's members represent the entire plastics industry supply chain, including processors, machinery and equipment manufacturers and raw materials suppliers.

Harman has allocated all dues to the Vinyl Products Division, which was formed to enhance the growth and prestige of the flexible vinyl industry. Harman Corporation Attends Vinyl Promotion Network

Ted Fisher recently returned from a very informative and useful Vinyl Promotion Network conference hosted by the Vinyl Institute. The conference focused on effectively promoting PVC/vinyl by providing resources, information and contacts.

The conference provided important updates on sound scientific regulatory information. It was an excellent opportunity to network with existing industry colleagues and make new contacts as well.

Some of Harman Corporation’s suppliers in attendance included ExxonMobile Chemical, BYK Chemical, Formosa Plastics, and PolyOne, Inc. Their technical resources and assistance continue to be a very important element of our capabilities.

While the majority of attendees were from businesses related to suspension resin, the value and importance of the information presented applies directly to our dispersion resin based products and ability to assist our customers. Harman Corporation appeared to be the only attendee from the dip molding industry.

Look for an important announcement in our next blog!

Vinyl Promotion Network

Harman Corporation's Ted Fisher is gearing up for attendance at the Vinyl Institutes's Vinyl Promotion Network conference June 5-6 in Cleveland, OH. Of interesting note is that the key note speaker is Dr. Patrick Moore, one of the founding members of Greenpeace and now an outspoken proponent of sustainability and PVC. Also of note is Harman Corporation will be one of the only representatives from the dip molding industry. Should be an exciting conference and we look forward to hearing more about it when Ted returns. Stay tuned...
